It addresses themes that are meaningful: pressure to achieve success; beauty standards in a standardised culture; mental health and social expectations; self-discovery and self-love.

”A Mala Mágica – Leva-me a contar” a community project promoted by Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa through its social center in Bairro das Furnas. Developed within the local parish social committee of São Domingos de Benfica, the project brought together community partners. The outcome was a collectively written story, later transformed into a comic book.
This unique collection is inspired by the joy of living in and exploring Lisbon, celebrating its everyday moments, atmosphere, and distinctive details.
The project brings together illustration and ceramics, combining hand-drawn artwork with the handcrafted ceramic forms created by Joana Pereira. Each illustration was drawn directly onto raw clay using a ceramic pencil, resulting in truly one of a kind pieces.
